I went to school to be a graphic designer, which means I spent a lot of time not sleeping and making things look pretty. I then spent many years at several firms working crazy hours and doing lots of neat projects. While I stayed at home with our kids, I worked part-time with my husband and college roommate at our company, Wire&Twine. This fall I’ll be switching gears, and will go to work as a Montessori preschool teacher. This has been (and still is) exhausting, but fun!
I like to take pictures and occasionally tell stories. I’ve been blogging privately since 2001. I finally made a public-ish blog recently because Chris wouldn’t stop bugging me. It is mostly really fun, but occasionally exhausting.
We live on an old farm. We have a tractor, sometimes bale hay, and are in the midst of building one whopper of a garden. This is exhausting. But fun!
I’m the mama of three kids, ages 4, 6, and 8. They spend a lot of time running wild through the fields, chasing animals, and doing all the things we wished we had done as kids. It’s possible part of the reason we had kids was an excuse to collect an obscene amount of Playmobil and Lego. They are exhausting, but supa-fun.
We have six chickens. We used to have more, but coyotes seem to think that free-ranging chickens make good snacks. I can’t say enough good things about the chickens. (Well, except the poop.) They are not exhausting—just fun.
